First comp pic with Elder Cook💪

Welcome back to the country🙌

Hola a todos, como estamos?? Here's a couple things that have gone down here in the past couple weeks🙌

First up, transfers hit super hard. After 6 months in Las Cañas I was transferred to a pueblito (little town) called San Rafael. It's clear across the mission, in the Usulutan zone. Ngl, it was super sad to leave Las Cañas and all of the converts there, and unfortunately we weren't able to leave with another baptism, but we did leave 7 dates for this month of February!!🌊

This area couldn't be more different than my last; there I was in the city, and now it's open country. I came from a ward, and now we're trying to start a branch down here (super crazy stuff), and now I'm with Elder Cook who's in his 3rd transfer, so it's a blast!! Definitely a different type of challenge, but it's going to be fun.

As for a spiritual thought, I've been studying recently in the New Testament, and I just gotta say how lucky we are to have the scriptures, the Bible and the Book of Mormon. There's 2 scriptures I love that are really similar, Ether 12:27 and 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. Corinthians says

9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Ether 12:27

I'll let you look Ether up for yourself👀 but I love these verses. I'm out here trying to help open a branch, and I can't say that's something that I've ever done before. BUT I do know that the Lord is involved in His work, and I know that He will lead each one of us past our weaknesses to fulfill His work. I know that if we are humble, our weaknesses will be made strengths!!

Love you guys though!! Sorry if lately I haven't been good on responding to emails... always feel free to shout out and let me know how you guys are though!!

Hasta la proxima!
