Hey everyone!! It's been a little while, figured it was time for a little update! Everything is going great here in San Rafael with Elder Cangalaya. Big news... we finally have a house (more or less)!!!  It's a second story studio apartment... so just a big square with a bathroom (and no sink but the bathroom sink ) but we have AC so it's all chill, definitely a lot better than 2 45 minute travels to and from the area every day Had three friends make the 45 minute trip to church with us this week!! Gotta say, you never really appreciate cars until you don't have one, count your blessings Some other random experiences:     - Had a really tough day, all of our lessons fell through, we walked for miles and miles and were exhausted and defeated. But, while waiting for our taxi in a park, we decided to talk with 1 more person, and he was super elegido!! We've met with him 3-4 times now, but it was a lesson that hard times are just preparing the way for miracles ...

Hey everyone!! Crazy it's P-day again, time has been flying by. This week was full of miracles, but was also a super weird one , here's what went down: 1. We had 3 baptisms this past week!! Olga, Sofia, and Ivan were able to make their first covenant with God!! Ivan's baptism was especially a miracle. It wasn't in the weekly plan last Sunday, but we went and taught him on Tuesday, extended a baptism date for the 15th of March, but he told us "no.... that's too far, how about this Sunday?" It was super hype 2. Transfers! Due to some early transfers, this week has been super weird, we've been 4 missionaries in 3 areas. But I'll be staying and receiving Elder Cangalaya, an Elder I already know and am good friends with, so this transfer will be a blast. 3. Finally getting close to getting a house!  We should be signing on it tomorrow, so that'll be nice Spiritual thought:  There have been 2 things on my mind recently, 1, the importance of having ...

Zona Usulutan Exchanges with Elder Hunter Some area photos Holaaa a todos! Como estan?? It's been a little while, thought I'd give a quick run down of what's been going on: 1. Had 5 friends at church this past week!! (Finally!! ) It's about at least a 45 minute drive to the church, so it was a super big miracle!! 2. Still don't have a house in our area, we might not have one this transfer. It's ok though, getting to know a bunch of cool people in the bus 3. Went to a future-missionary conference in San Miguel and got to see all of of my old friends and converts from Moncagua, it was super awesome seeing them after a year!! 4. About the title: Let's just say to get home in the night time we've waited for a bus 5 times, but 3 of the 5 times random strangers have stopped and given us rides . They've led to 2 cool conversations about how they met the missionaries before, and only 1 near death experience with a drowsy driver playing and purposely brake ch...

First comp pic with Elder Cook Welcome back to the country Hola a todos, como estamos?? Here's a couple things that have gone down here in the past couple weeks First up, transfers hit super hard. After 6 months in Las Cañas I was transferred to a pueblito (little town) called San Rafael. It's clear across the mission, in the Usulutan zone. Ngl, it was super sad to leave Las Cañas and all of the converts there, and unfortunately we weren't able to leave with another baptism, but we did leave 7 dates for this month of February!! This area couldn't be more different than my last; there I was in the city, and now it's open country. I came from a ward, and now we're trying to start a branch down here (super crazy stuff), and now I'm with Elder Cook who's in his 3rd transfer, so it's a blast!! Definitely a different type of challenge, but it's going to be fun. As for a spiritual thought, I've been studying recently in the New Testament, and I just...

Temple trip! (Super good lighting) Paintballing! It was a dope sunrise! Hey, como estan todos?? Sorry for the radio silence the past couple of weeks, but I'm here again!! It's been crazy busy, heres a couple highlights: About the title... let's just say I might have just discovered the secret to losing lots of weight in just a week! Its just 3 steps:    1. Get sick from suspicious food    2. Think you're already better and wake up at 3 to hike and see a sunrise (the sunrise was fire though)    3. "There is no step 3! It's that easy" (see if you can guess the movie) Soooo let's just say I might have had a 102 fever one day and a 2 day gatorade fast this past week, I've slimmed right down . It's all good though, doing better now!! It's made me really grateful for good health, it's only the 2nd time I've been badly sick in the whole mission, and there's a lot of people that have it worse off than I do, so we're chilling. Apar...

Elder Jensen An awesome puzzle (thank you Herrin family!!) Caroling with the district No bake cookies   Hola a todos!! Feliz Navidad!!! I hope you guys were able to spend some time with family and learned a lot about Christ and His birth!! Let me know what you guys did!! Everything is going great down here!! I have a new companion, Elder Jensen from Idaho, he's such a beast, it's been a blast.  Hermana Marta was baptized as well!! Now the familia Salguero has 5 converts, it's been such a blessing to know them! Just wanted to reach out and wish you guys a Merry Christmas!! As for a quick spiritual thought, we were blessed to be able to read Luke 2 about the birth of Christ a lot over the past 2 days, it's for sure one of my favorite Christmas traditions. Every time I read it, no matter how many times, it always brings peace and joy. Yesterday and today we celebrate the most anticipated moment in all of the history of the world!  Thanks to Him, we can have peace. Thanks t...
