Letter #5

 Hey everybody!

This week was pretty similar to last, I'll just give the quick rundown. We taught another completely spanish lesson this saturday, it actually went pretty well. I'm by no means fluent, but I feel like I can get a lot of what I want to say across to others, it's progress. We also taught our first lesson to someone who's not a member of the church; could've been better ngl, but it was definitely a good learning experience.

We've been playing a lot of pickeball, basketball, and ultimate frisbee, ultimate frisbee is by far my favorite. It's so much fun, Elder Mortenson from my district was a 3 time state champ for ultimate frisbee (didn't even know that was a high school sport ngl) but he can  launch it all the way across the field, it's pretty crazy. We've played some district v district (we're undefeated ofc ofc), and at least once a game someone makes some crazy diving catch and we all freak out, it's a blast.

It's finally all kind of sinking in this week. In a week from today, we're going to be flying out to our missions and starting for real, I'm ready to get out of here but at the same time I feel like I haven't learned enough. That's the importance of trusting in the Lord; by myself, I'm nowhere near capable of doing this. And there would be no point for me to be out here if it wasn't for Him. Sure, I've already faced struggles, but I've also felt the peace and joy that only comes from having the spirit with us and knowing that He knows us.

I would say the biggest lesson I've learned throughout this week is the different ways the Lord answers our prayers. I was having a bit of a rough one, and just prayed that something would happen to make it better. Then Elder Luker (the best missionary here) out of nowehere just told me as I was walking by that he was happy to see me, and that he was happy I was here. He's a beast, and so connected with the Spirit that he was able to be the answer to my prayers. I can testify that the Lord uses us to answer others prayers, so if you get some random urge to do something for someone else, just do it. You don't know how much someone else may be needing it. A scripture I like that goes right along with this is 2 Nephi 32:5
5 For behold, again I say unto you that if ye will enter in by the way, and receive the Holy Ghost, it will show unto you all things what ye should do.
I can testify that the words of Christ and the Spirit will tell you everything that you should do, you just have to look for it.

Anyways, that's about all I have this week! I'm not sure what next week is going to be like, so apologies in advance if I can't get an email out. Thanks for all the emails though! If I don't respond super quickly, sorry about that, P-Days are pretty hectic around here.
Love you guys!
