Letter #12

 Hey everybody!!

Man I can't believe it's Monday again already, time is absolutely flying by down here. Not a whole lot went on this week, it should be pretty short.

To start off, we finally pretty much know our way around the area around here, so it's been good! We've had a lot of good lessons and contacts this week, found a lot of new people! Coolest thing this week though was an impromptu service project. We were in an area a bit far from our house on our way to meet some recent converts when we came across this guy and his daughter moving a hugeee pile of dirt, so of course we jumped in to help! A couple hours and a very dirty white shirt later we finished. It might sound strange, but I actually really enjoyed the physical labor, reminded me of the good ole days back home building fence on the ranch.

Other than that, we had a super cool miracle this week!! We've been teaching a super nice couple and we've had some really great lessons with them, the only problem was that they have work on Sundays. But on Saturday, after a super spirit-filled lesson, we invited them to come to church again, and they said they would miss work to come! Unfortunately, down here people are pretty flakey, so we get a lot of people that say they'll come and never do. But when church rolled around, both of them were able to come, it was absolutely amazing!! We were super pumped, hopefully they'll be able to keep it up!!

Other than that there's not much ngl. Only thing that's a bummer is that people don't really celebrate Halloween down here, which is a shame. We would've fit right in going around knocking doors in the evening with all the trick or treaters (though giving little messages of joy instead of receiving). So enjoy that for me in the states!!

As for spiritual: One thing that has stuck out to me a lot this week is seeking and expecting miracles and blessings. We had zone conference this week, and one of the scriptures that was brought up was D&C 82:10 which says:
10 I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise.
When we are obedient in seeking and following the Lords will, He promises us blessings; at times, it may be really hard to see these blessings in our lives, but they will come! We just need to exercise patience, faith, and keep on the grind.

That's about all I have this week! Love you guys, lmk how things are going with you!

Nos vemos!
