Letter #19
La cena for new years eve, called carne asada (super good)

The one Christmas dinner we had that wasn't pan con pollo!
Also, got to help make those tortillas (first time, it's actually a lot harder than it looks)

The one that got me

Hola a todos!! Como han estado??
Sorry its been a little while, last week was pretty crazy!! Just a quick rundown of what went down:
The good:
We've had a lot of super cool miracles the past couple of weeks!! For the past 2 Sundays, we've had a lot of our friends come to church! One lady in specific is actually incredible- last month we helped her and her husband drop smoking, and she went from 10 cigarettes a day to 0 in less than a month (it was so hype) and now she told us that her goal is to come to church every Sunday this year, and happy to report going strong with 1/1 Sundays for 2025

The not so good:
Remember the famous pan con pollo that literally everyone eats down here for the holidays?? To make a long story short, we were meeting with our recent converts and they offered us one, and it did nottt agree with me. To save you guys the unfortunate details, let's just say I've been on a gatorade fast for the past couple days, and now I'm not supposed to eat anything but rice, toast, and applesauce for the next week, it's been quite the experience

The spiritual:
This week, something that's been sticking out to me a lot is the "why" behind gospel principles. Why go to church? Why pray? Why do we need to try and be like Christ? The answers to these questions are simple, but sometimes we forget, or sometimes we get too distracted with our lives. Heres it plain and simple: we do these things because literally we have the chance to live again and be like God. We literally have the chance to live with our families after this life- I don't know about you guys, but that's sure not something that I'm going to risk, and I hope and know it's all the same for you. So remember it!!
Anyways, that's what I got this week!! Thank you guys for all the Christmas and birthday messages, I'll get to those as soon as I can!!
Nos vemos!
Elder Bagley
