Hey hey!! Como estamos pues??
This week was probably the weirdest week I've had in the mission- for a quick summary, had 2 blitzes (I'll explain in a bit) 2 intercambios, and spent 2 days helping the bishop build a fence, it was pretty crazy. As for other news, today we have cambios, I'll be staying in Moncagua with Elder Allgaier for this next transfer! I also hit 5 months of being a missionary a while back... it's crazy how fast time has been flying by!
I'll start off with the blitzes! This is basically where missionaries from other areas come and spend the day/afternoon in one area, so we had 4 missionaries here in our area for a morning and an evening. Between that and intercambios (where we switch between areas) it's been a superrrr weird week.
As for the service, this past week we spent from 8-3 thursday and friday helping the bishop build a fence around his property, reminded me of the good ole days on the ranch. But man, its been a while, getting out of bed saturday morning was a bit of a challenge for all of us. Working here is also super different; people here work hard... for about an hour and then rest for half an hour, it gets pretty old.
Can't forget about the food! Shout out of the week goes to... (can't believe I'm saying this) fried platanos, they're actually incredible!! (Remember, this is coming from a guy who can't eat bananas, who knew they were different??) They're super sweet though, basically like a candy. 10/10 recommend for a snack or dessert
As for spiritual this week, though I might have shared this before, something that stuck out to me a lot this week is joy. One of my favorite scriptures to share is 2 Nephi 2:25 which says:
25 Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.
I love this verse because it's so plain and simple. We are literally here on the earth to have joy, and nothing brings more joy and comfort than knowing that we are children of God, and He wants nothing more than for us to come back to Him, I testify of that.
That's about it for this week! Thank you guys all again for the messages and support, you're all incredible!! Until the next time, remember to say your prayers every day

Con amor,
Elder Bagley
