First mango of the season (not the best picture, I know, but so fire)
Snagged a $20 hammock, so sick

Buenas tardes, como estÑn ustedes?😁
It's been an absolute tough but fire week! Just a couple things that went down this past week...πŸ‘‡

We've been blowing up our area, finding so many people that we've been having a hard time visiting all of them, but this last week we finally were able to drop a lot that weren't progressing.

Los bautismos🌊: The other elders of Moncagua had a baptism this last week, an 11 year old named Dylan! He was one of our friends that I found with Elder Allgaier back in my Moncagua 2 days, it was incredible to see him make his first covenant with God!! Me and Elder Bringhurst had the opportunity as well to share our testimonies and read a bit in 2 Nephi 31 (such a fire chapter) with the ward after the baptism, it was superrrr spiritual, another testimony of the importance and the power we receive from baptism!!
Other than Dylan, we have a friend named Maira on date for next week!! Keep her and her family in your prayers, they've been going through a lot of difficulties financially and with their family.

Funny/scary story: We had a super sketch ride from a drunk guy (didn't know he was drunk before we got in the taxi, and unfortunately it was the only taxi in Moncagua at the moment) and let's just say the whole time me and Elder Bringhurst were both praying and on the edge of our seats ready to take the wheel from him at any momentπŸ˜…. We made it safely thankfully, definitely had a heartfelt prayer of thanks and a good laugh afterwards (please don't drink and drive, or better yet avoid drinking!!)

Quick food shoutout: Shoutout this time goes to the fruit here in El Salvador, especially jocote (don't have a pic unfortunately, but a little green fruit that grows everywhere here, so fire) and mangos. We're just getting into mango season here, had my first freshly-picked straight-from-the-tree mango yesterday and man...πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ I wasn't a fan of mangos much before the mission but here they're sooooo good. I'm super pumped for these next couple of weeks, it's going to be hype😎

Quick spiritual thought: Something that's stuck out to me a lot this past week is prioritizing and putting our "big rocks" in life first (shoutout to Coach Sloan, if you know you know). Life gets super busy super quickly, and it's easy to get distracted by the little things in life that in the end of the day, don't really matter. This is something personal and different for each person, and I have no right you what is or isn't important in your lives. But, what I can say matters for sure is finding and maintaining your personal relationship with God. One scripture in particular that I like is Matthew 16:25

25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
I can testify that giving God and Christ your lives will help you to find them! You'll find peace, joy, and a purpose.

I'll end it there, sorry it was a bit of a long one this weekπŸ˜…. Love you all, sorry if I haven't gotten back to all of the emails, I'll get there eventually! Feel free always to send an email letting me know how it's going!

Hasta luego!
Elder Bagley
