Couple cool things (yeah, that's a skinned pigs head😂)
Baptism of Carlitos!!

Hey hey buenos días a todos!! It's been a little while since I've given an update, sorry about that. We've been working super hard here in Quezaltepeque, seen a lot of successes and challenges, I'll fill you guys in on a couple things that went down.

The good, the not so good, and the funny:

I'll start with the not so good (break the bad news first). Of all the friends we had progressing and on date to be baptized, pretty much every single one of them fell through. These past couple of weeks have been a real test of patience and faith, we've been working, being obedient, and just not seeing the fruits we've been wanting to. It's alright though, gotta have the hard weeks to make the good ones better!!

The good: We've seen a lot of cool miracles these past couple of weeks. Even though a lot of our baptism dates fell through, we still have a good amount of friends progressing! One I want to mention is la hermana María. We found her by teaching one of our fechas that fell through, and we've continued to teach her. This past Wednesday there was a baptism in the ward (at 6:45) and we showed up at her house out of the blue at 6:40, and asked her if she wanted to come, and she did! Now that might not sound too special, but the crazy thing is that she's 92 years old... a testimony that it's never too late to change your life and come to Christ!! Another cool part of this story is that we didn't have a way to get her and us to the church, but while waiting for a moto taxi, a stranger (from Nampa Idaho, what a small world, I swear I've met more people from Idaho down here than I did in Texas) gave us all a ride, it was a crazy miracle!!

The funny: Yesterday we went out with some members for some visits, and came across a bolo (super drunk guy) who tried to stop us and talk to us. Me and Elder Medina had seen this guy before, so we walked past like normal, but the members stopped and started to talk to him. Long story short, we left him with a prayer, unfortunately he gave us a hug (never going to understand why drunk guys love hugging so much) and the last thing he said to me was "Donald Trump sent you here right?!?" That was definitely a new one😂

Spiritual: This past week, we had zone conference, and it was absolutely amazing!! One of my favorite parts was a quote from Elder Renlund. He said:
"If you only focus on your own personal conversion, not only will you be less likely to gather Israel, but you will also be less likely to succeed in your goal in becoming a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ."
I loved this quote, it's so true. Being a disciple of Jesus Christ means looking out for others, sharing the joy that you have from His gospel, and helping then to find that same joy in their lives!! Doing that will help you to grow in your own personal conversion, so don't be afraid to share the blessings of the gospel that you've seen in your lives

Anyways, that's just a bit of what's going on down here. I hope everyone had an awesome mothers day, a big shout out to all the moms for everything that you guys do, you're incredible!!!
As always, feel free to give me a shout out, let me know how things are going for you!! Love you guys, til next time!

Salud pues
Elder Bagley
