Letter #38
Hey everyone!! First off, sorry I didn't get an email off last week to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving, but happy late Thanksgiving!! I hope you all enjoyed it, and thanked the Lord for everything He has done for you!!
On the same topic, the past couple of weeks we've had a lot to thank the Lord for. We were able to baptize 2 more members of the Salguero family (love that family so much) and we're close to putting the grandma on date as well to make the family almost complete!!
We had a baptism this past Sunday in our area, and the sisters had a baptism as well and asked me to baptize their friend, it was pretty awesome!! The font was super low though, so it took 4 tries for the poor lady to submerge completely
. The Spirit was super strong though, they're both true converts!!

As for a spiritual thought, something that has stuck out to me a lot recently is the power of peacemaking. I loved Gary E. Stevenson's talk this past General Conference, he testified of the power of peacemaking and gave us ideas to apply it (here's the link, I invite you all to read the talk!!).
Blessed Are the Peacemakers
I can testify of the power of peacemaking too! A couple of weeks ago, me and my companion disagreed on something (I know right, being with the same person for 4 1/2 months and disagreeing on something!? Happens sometimes
) But afterwards, we both humbly talked, I asked him to change something, he asked me to change something, and there was peace! It's a small experience, and I know you're thinking "that's great, but that's not how it's like for me," but I testify of the power of choosing peace! I testify that being humble and honest brings not only peace and joy, but the Spirit in your life as well!

If you have a strained relationship, even if you don't think it's your fault, I invite you to go humbly to the person and apologize, I promise you'll feel more peace in your life!
Hope you all are doing great though!! Let me know how your Thanksgiving was, and what Christmas plans you have!! Have a great week!!
Nos vemos!
